After a big winter storm, rivers on the west side of the Cascades had a great window of fishing. It was nice to finally see some of our favorite rivers running at optimum flows. Last week I made my way to the river and got to do some fishing with a good friend. In the day and a half that I was on the river, I saw four fish caught. I was grateful for two steelhead in the mid-teens. The cool thing about this time of year is that you never know what you’re going to get; it could be a 10 pound bright hen or a strong, upper-teens buck.
If anybody wants to do some fishing this winter, give us a call. The winter season is in full-swing and there is nothing like a winter steelhead.
